WITH NO MANNERS.

He spent the night here because our neighbors went away on a cruise, so the night has been long. I offered to walk the dog before I knew that he had to be walked between the hours of 7:00 and 9:00am.

WTF.

So I set my alarm clock for 8:25am, go to bed at 1:30am... and my mom gets me up at 7:25am and demands that I go walk the dog. So I roll out of bed, pull my hair back, go to put some clothes on... look out the window, and what the hell do I see?! I see my dad, outside, walking the dog.

My reaction: WHAT THE HELL?!?

So I run downstairs and confront my dad: "okay, I KNOW you didn't just walk that dog."

His response: "Yes, I did. And I need you to do me a favor--oh, watch where you're stepping--"

I was walking toward the garage door as he was talking, so I look down and jump back before I step in--guess what? Dog piss. "I didn't make it in time," Dad told me. "So could you clean that up for me?"

Oh, you've GOT to be joking. So not only did I wake up early for nothing, but I had to clean up dog piss because neither one of us walked him fast enough. Damn dog should learn to just HOLD IT!!

I went back to sleep after that. My alarm then woke me up at 8:25, because apparently I forgot to turn it off. (f*cking thing.) Then my mom woke me up again at 9:30 by shouting up the stairs: "HEY, TIME FOR YOU TO GO ON A WALK!"

My sleep-addled response: "NO!"

So I battled the forces of sleep deprivation until about 11:00, when I decided to get my lazy ass up and do something productive: work on my novel. Because even when life is shit, my novel is almost done, and that makes everything better.

I also closed out that joke of a savings account that I had (and couldn't even access without my mother there) and got my own checking account in my name only. I also get a check card in the mail--woo-hoo? It has inspired me to try and get a job after the holidays have come and gone, because damn--all this banking crap went way over my head. And not only that, but I think I only have $100 and change to my name. Not much you can do with $100, is there? And that number will only get smaller until I get a job. So yup. Time to start lookin'.

I am now updating my Things I Want scrapbook to include stuff from the Office of Letters and Light--the place (with the kick-ass name) that sells all the NaNoWriMo, Script Frenzy and YWP stuff. (Of course I'm not interested in YWP stuff, because I'm a little old for the Young Writers' Program).

So I'm gonna get back to that now, actually, and I still have some gifts to wrap. *procrastinates*

I should be posting something else soon, whether it's writing or photos or hey, maybe even a drawing! (It'll most likely be writing.) Until then, I wish all at DeviantART a Happy Rest-Of-Your-Holiday-Season, and a much better New Year than I'll have sitting at home watching TV!
